Upon completion of her civil law degree at the University of Ottawa in Spring 2016, Shereen Cook joined the Lavery team as a student. She will be attending bar school as of August 2016.
Throughout her university years, Shereen was involved with her faculty. She assumed the position of director of the law moot court program: “Les simulations de procès - Travaille en Cour”, which led her to cooperate with jurists and other legal professionals to draft legal cases. Furthermore, she worked at the “Clinique de droit notarial de l’Outaouais” where she had the opportunity to assist clients and deliver presentations to several organizations. Shereen volunteered at the Concordia University Legal Information Clinic and at the Filipino Women’s Organization in Quebec (PINAY).
Shereen holds a DEC in Health Sciences from the Collège André-Grasset, where she earned a merit award for her outstanding community engagement. She masters both French and English, speaks Arabic fluently and has intermediary competences in Spanish.
