Michel Blouin Knighted by the Queen of Denmark

In recognition of his valued services as Consul, the Queen of Denmark appointed our partner Michel Blouin as a First Class Knight of the Danebrog Order.

This order of chivalry was founded in 1219. It was reorganized in 1691 by King Christian V and membership was limited to 50 knights. In 1808, King Frederic VI opened up the Order, which progressively came to be used for rewarding exceptional civil and military accomplishments. Membership in the Order, which may also be granted to foreigners, is not awarded frequently.
