Raphaël H. Schachter, of Lavery, re-elected to the board of the Canadian Foundation of the American College of Trial Lawyers

Recently, Mr. Raphaël H. Schachter, Q.C., Ad. E, partner in criminal and penal law at Lavery, was re-elected to the board of directors of the Canadian Foundation of the American College of Trial Lawyers. The honourary president of the Foundation is the Honourable John C. Major, C.C., Q.C., former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. Other members of the board include the Honourable George K. MacIntosh (Supreme Court of British Columbia), Mr. Michel Décary, Q.C., Ad. E. (BCF), and Mr. David W. Scott, Q.C. (Borden Ladner Gervais).

Founded in 1950, the American College of Trial Lawyers is a professional association of the best trial lawyers in the United States and Canada. The College is dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice, and the ethics of the profession.
