On June 16 2009, the Minister of Justice introduced Bill 60 entitled An Act to Amend the Consumer Protection Act and Other Legislative Provisions in the National Assembly, which proposes to legislate with respect to three new types of contracts, and sets out certain rules regarding all the contracts for which the Consumer Protection Act requires a written instrument.

These amendments reflect the main comments and complaints received by the Office de la protection du consommateur in recent years and endeavour to provide a response to the main issues they raise.
