Paralegal
Annie Groleau joined the Financing and Financial Services sector of Lavery in 2008. Prior to that, she did paralegal work for lawyers for whom she performed drafting and research in various areas, particularly civil and commercial litigation, construction, bankruptcy and leasing as well as tasks related to the publication and realization of movable and immovable securities.
As part of her work, Ms. Groleau prepares applications for registration of, and registers the various rights subject to publication, performs searches in registration systems, such as corporate records, the Registre des droits personnels et réels mobiliers (RDPRM), the Bank Act Security Registry System (section 427 of the Bank Act), the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy and the court file records registers of the Federal Court. She analyzes the results of such searches and drafts search reports.
