Director of Professional Development

Called to the Quebec Bar in 1992, Brigitte Gagnon practised in the areas of banking and commercial litigation for several years before joining a national law firm in 2001 as their knowledge manager and national director of professional development. As such, she acquired extensive expertise in knowledge management and professional development. She has also been a certified professional coach since 2009.

Ms. Gagnon fosters and promotes the knowledge and skills required by the firm’s lawyers at every stage of their careers so that they excel in the practice of law, and to ensure the quality of their professional services is maintained. She is also responsible for implementing complete and uniformized programs and processes to optimize the professional development of all the firm’s lawyers, for university recruitment and lateral recruitment of young lawyers, and for the guidance, training and evaluation of the students, articling students and associates.
