BIOGRAPHY

Paralegal
Kathy Dallaire has been a paralegal in the litigation field since 2000. Ms. Dallaire assists the lawyers by participating in meetings with witnesses; she gathers information, prepares evidence, performs legal research, attends at court, and drafts proceedings. She prepares summaries of transcripts of examinations on discovery and the testimony of witnesses and experts.

Thanks to her mastery of state-of-the-art computer software, including Summation and Adobe Acrobat, she provides technological support to the lawyers in the processing and electronic management of evidence in litigation involving large volumes of documents in order to make the evidence easily accessible throughout the litigation and at the hearings.

Ms. Dallaire participates in the internal training on civil procedure and in the design of civil procedure deadline management software, in addition to training the users of this software.

In the course of her duties, Ms. Dallaire acted as Clerk to the Commission of Inquiry on the activities of Option Canada, where she was responsible for the large computerized database, training of the working team (lawyers, forensic accountants and investigators) and technical support to the team. She also managed the Commission’s schedule, which involved hearing nearly 100 witnesses over an eight-month period.
