Louise Cérat has served for many years on the Executive Committee of the Insurance Law and Civil Litigation Section of the Canadian Bar Association, which she chaired from 1988 to 1990. She also co chaired the Judicial Services Liaison Committee of the Montreal Bar.

Ms. Cérat has taught at the Québec Bar's bar school and given lectures. She is named among the leading recommended lawyers in The Canadian Legal LEXPERT ® Directory 2012 in the fields of Litigation - Commercial Insurance.
