Philippe Asselin is a member of the Business Law Group and specializes in taxation law, especially corporate taxation (reorganizations, acquisitions and sales of businesses), estate planning, asset protection, application of special legislation, consumption taxes as well as various Canadian tax issues that may impact on non-resident individuals and corporation.
Mr. Asselin is also regularly invited to give conferences on various tax-related subjects, including the transfer of family businesses, the protection of assets and the use of trusts for tax purposes.
Mr. Asselin has given for several years a course on acquisitions and sales of businesses on behalf of the Fiscal and Financial Planning Association.
