BIOGRAPHY
Associate
Sophie Prégent is a member of our administrative law team. She specializes in the areas of environmental, energy and natural resources law. She also handles matters related to expropriation, municipal law, penal law, aboriginal law and land use planning.
She advises and represents businesses from various industries, including mines, hydro power, aeronautics, waste materials matters management, product manufacturing and wind power.
She advises clients on all environmental aspects of their activities, including project compliance analysis, investigations and inspections, the process for obtaining environmental authorizations and permits, the requirements respecting environmental assessments, emissions, hazardous materials management as well as contaminant discovery and the remediation of contaminated lands.
During her studies, she received achievement awards in municipal law and had the privilege of clerking for two judges of the Superior Court. She is on the Dean’s Honors List of the Faculty of Law of the Université de Montréal.
