Valérie Belle-Isle is a member of the labour law team in the Quebec City office. She advises various types of businesses, including mining companies, on labour relations and occupational health and safety. She represents such businesses before the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail, the Commission des lésions professionnelles, the Commission des relations de travail, arbitrators on grievances and common law courts.

Ms. Belle-Isle advises companies, particularly, on the drafting of employment contracts, confidentiality agreements and non-competition agreements, on the interpretation and application of collective agreements, on the management of employee complaints with regard to dismissals as well as individual and group lay offs and on the management of cases related to industrial accidents or occupational diseases.

During her studies at the Université Laval, she was awarded a scholarship from the Council of Canadian Law Deans for her participation in an exchange program with the University of Western Ontario.

She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Association de Jeune Barreau de Québec. Also, she is the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the La Maison Jaune art center.
