Valérie Korozs began her practice in civil and commercial litigation, where she acquired very useful experience before the civil courts. She then decided to specialize in the field of labour and employment law.
As a member of the Labour and Employment Law Group, Ms. Korozs advises business on various issues, in particular those relating to individual and collective labour relations, occupational health and safety, clauses restricting employment, and human rights and freedoms.
Ms. Korozs also represents businesses before civil and administrative tribunals, more particularly in matters of grievance arbitration, occupational health and safety and unlawful dismissal.
A 2003 graduate of the Université de Montréal, Ms. Korozs has participated in numerous moot court competitions. She was a member of the team that was awarded first prize at the Gale Cup moot competition in 2003, and represented Canada at the Commonwealth Moot Competition in Australia that same year. In 2004, she represented the Montreal Bar School at the prestigious international Jean Pictet moot competition held in France and won one of the three best advocate prizes.
During her studies, she also completed an introductory program on the Chinese judicial system at the China University of Political Science and Law in Peking.
