Justin Gravel is a member of the Litigation group and practises in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency, banking law, and construction law. He represents trustees in bankruptcy, banks, and stakeholders in the construction industry before all levels of Québec court.
Mr. Gravel has acted in many major cases challenging the validity of or obtaining compensation for fraudulent transactions and has acquired broad expertise in this field.
During his studies, Mr. Gravel was awarded the Fondation de l’Université de Sherbrooke scholarship (academic excellence, 2005) and ranked third overall in his undergraduate program. In 2005 and 2006, he was a research assistant to Professor Suzanne Comtois in the areas of administrative law and public international law.
Since 2012, he has been in charge of the Université de Sherbrooke faculty of law team competing in the Pierre-Basile-Mignault moot court competition opposing all Canadian law faculties with a civil law section.
Mr. Gravel joined Lavery in 2014 after working at another Canadian law firm for more than seven years.
