Caroline Harnois of Lavery speaks on Family Mediation in the Context of Dual Nationality and Long Distance and publishes a Family Law Bulletin column

Caroline Harnois Ms. Caroline Harnois, a partner in Lavery’s Family Law, Personal Law and Estate Law team, has published a column in the Family Law Bulletin (Bulletin Droit de la Famille, Éditions Yvon Blais) on the Hague Convention of 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.

Ms. Harnois also spoke at a conference on Family Mediation in the Context of Dual Nationality and Long Distance (La médiation familiale dans un contexte de bi-nationalité et à distance) on November 7-8.  The conference was organized by the AIFI (Association internationale francophone des intervenants auprès des familles séparées) and the COAMF (Comité des organismes accréditeurs en médiation familiale). Ms. Harnois’ presentation was given jointly with Ms. France Rémillard, Director of Central Authority for Quebec under the Hague Convention, at the Ministry of Justice. Ms. Jocelyne Dahan, a Family Mediator from France and Ms. Lorraine Filion, a social worker and Family mediator, also gave a presentation.
