Paralegal

Annie Pouliot is a paralegal who works in several different fields including intellectual property and commercial law. She writes up descriptions of goods and services and files trademark applications with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. 

She then follows the applications through every step of the process. She also does patent and trademark searches on the registers of several countries.

Ms. Pouliot also works with a notary, drafting wills, protection mandates, real estate donations, as well as trust deeds and handles estate settlements. In terms of transactions, Ms. Pouliot incorporates and updates provincial and federal companies, drafts resolutions and agreements, and prepares financing operations.

Ms. Pouliot has acquired expertise in dealing with the land register, the Register of Personal and Moveable Real Rights (RPMRR), the Inforoute Notariale, and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.

  1. Lavery’s Sherbrooke office participates in the 2017 edition of Défi à l’Entreprise

    On November 18, a Lavery team from the Sherbrooke office participated for the third consecutive year in the Défi à l’Entreprise, organized by Les Volontaires of the Cégep de Sherbrooke. The theme this year was the Défis d’Astérix. The Défi à l’Entreprise is a sporting event that brings together 50 of the most dynamic teams in Estrie. Teams are composed of 10 competitors for a total of 500 participants, selected from among the different companies participating.  Over 100 volunteers work to make the event a success, supported by a number of brand sponsors.   Participating companies come from throughout the greater Estrie region.   2. A team from Lavery’s Sherbrooke office participates in the Défi à l’entreprise competition

    For the second year running, a team from Lavery’s Sherbrooke office participated in the Défi à l’entreprise competition, whose 30th edition was held on November 19, 2016. The purpose of this friendly competition between various local businesses is to raise money for CEGEP de Sherbrooke sports teams (les Volontaires).
