She joined Lavery as a student in 2022 and completed her Bar internship there.

Before joining the firm as a lawyer, Sophie worked as a law clerk at the Federal Court. She assisted judges in several areas, including administrative and Indigenous law. She won the award for best brief and was a finalist in the Federal Courts' internal moot court competition.

During her law studies, she was involved in various legal clinics, faculty committees, and moot court competitions.
