Law Student

Léa Brousseau-Bellavance joined the Lavery team as a student in 2023 and will be articling with the firm in 2026. She earned a double degree of civil law and common law from McGill University in December 2024.  

While studying at McGill, Léa participated in the Pierre-Basile-Mignault Moot Court Competition, where she earned the Lavery Cup for being the third-best litigant in the competition. While in her third year of law school, she had the opportunity to do a clerkship at the Court of Québec, Youth Division, and an internship at the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse.

Committed to community involvement, Léa was Chair of the Youth Advisory Council of VOICE (Views On Interdisciplinary Childhood Ethics) at McGill University where she promoted youth perspectives in the advancement of interdisciplinary youth ethics research. 

Léa also worked at a community organization for over five years, providing services to autistic individuals, prior to her law studies.
