Law articling

Catherine joined the Lavery team in 2024 and is currently doing an internship in notarial law with the firm.

She completed her Licentiate in Civil Law at the University of Ottawa and is in the process of completing her Master of Laws in Notarial Law at Université Laval.

During her studies, Catherine was actively involved in the student community, notably as President of the Association de droit notarial de l’Université d’Ottawa and with the TradeLab clinic. She also had the opportunity to write a research paper in collaboration with the International Institute for Sustainable Development on the topic of foreign investment promotion and protection agreements (FIPAs) between Canada and various French-speaking African countries.

Before joining the firm, she broadened her legal knowledge by holding a number of challenging positions, including court clerk and judicial assistant to a Superior Court judge. She also worked as a research assistant in public law for a former provincial minister.
