Profile

Jean-Philippe Abraham is a member of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group.

Jean-Philippe practices primarily in civil and commercial litigation, particularly in matters involving shareholder disputes, breach of contract, liability, injunctions, and enforcement of security interests. He also practices in construction law, real estate law, and bankruptcy and insolvency law. To this end, he appears before all levels of court.
Before joining our team, Jean-Philippe worked as a lawyer and partner at a major law firm in the Quebec City area. Jean-Philippe also worked as Director of Legal Affairs for a large private construction company in the civil engineering and related sectors. This corporate experience allowed him to deepen his skills and develop a broader view of the various issues and risks associated with a company's day-to-day operations. As a result, he is able to advise and represent clients in a manner that is best suited to the business reality of each company, while prioritizing the search for practical solutions that benefit the client.

A former professional soccer player, Jean-Philippe successfully combined his law studies with a high-level sports career. This background has allowed him to develop team spirit, dedication, perseverance, and excellence, values that are well integrated within the Lavery firm.
