Kiran joined the Lavery team as a student in 2023 and completed completing her articling.
A member of the Business Law group, she works on matters involving, in particular, intellectual property, technology, artificial intelligence, governance, commercial contracts, and public tenders.
As part of her practice, Ms. Younas contributes to the review and drafting of agreements, legal opinions, and strategic memoranda dealing, among other things, with emerging technologies, privacy and information management, projects involving artificial intelligence, regulatory compliance issues, as well as contracting and public procurement processes.
She has also contributed to work related to the deployment of generative artificial intelligence tools within the firm, notably by taking part in the analysis of risks and legal issues associated with their use.
Her practice has led her to collaborate on matters with a scientific and technological component, including in the life sciences and innovation sectors. She has also gained tax experience at an international firm.
Her multidisciplinary background enables her to approach legal issues with a strategic, business, and operational understanding. Holding an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in biology, she has a particular interest in innovative sectors and technology-driven environments.
