Catherine Côté is the Director, Legal Talent and Student and Articling Programs at Lavery.
In this role, she is responsible for the firm’s legal talent management, including overseeing the associate, articling student and student programs, student and lateral recruitment and the professional development of lawyers at the firm. She plays a key role in attracting, hiring, onboarding, and supporting talent at every stage of their career within the firm.
Catherine also contributes to Lavery’s strategic direction with respect to professional development by participating in the development and implementation of initiatives regarding talent management, professional advancement and retention, as well as practice management, performance and compensation.
Prior to joining Lavery, Catherine practised business law for nearly seven years in Montréal, Sydney (Australia), and London (England), within national and international law firms. In doing so, she developed a strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of the realities of private practice.
