Jean-François’ role is to ensure achievement of the firm’s main business goals and growth targets, particularly in terms of business strategies and positioning, key account activation and management, recruitment of senior professionals, acquisitions processes, and business development opportunities.
In this role, he leads three core departments of the firm’s strategic plan and organizational transformation, namely Pricing and Commercial Management, Business Development, and Marketing and Communications. He is supported by a team of seasoned managers and business professionals.
As an executive member of the firm's Management Committee, his colleagues rely on him to keep his finger on the pulse of the “business of law” and to report on practices, trends, challenges, and the competitive environment that the legal/professional services industry faces in Canada and abroad. He collaborates with them to translate data into strategic insights and actively take part in decisions that affect the economics of the firm’s operations, including financial factors that influence profitability in its priority market segments.
Jean-François is passionate about corporate strategy and leadership challenges, especially those that come up in professional services firms. He carefully manages certain delicate and difficult situations, generates consensus amidst sometimes diverging business interests, supports legal professionals in developing relationships with their clients, and acts as a liaison between business units as well as between the firm and its clients.
