Gabrielle Thiboutot joined Lavery as a co-op student in the winter of 2019. She is presently completing a licentiate in law and a bachelor of social sciences specialized in international development and globalization, in Ottawa, and will be a candidate for the Bar in 2021.
By completing her bachelor's degree in international development and globalization at the same time as her law degree, Gabrielle is reinforcing her interest in immigration law with her courses in comparative law and politics. Her previous experience working for the federal government with the Canada Border Services Agency gave her a very practical vision of the application of the law at the borders.
While she always has a passion for learning more, Gabrielle is also in the co-op program at the University of Ottawa, which gives her the opportunity to obtain practical experience outside her classes during the four work terms of this program.
