Etienne C. Laplante joined the Lavery team as a student in the Tax Law group in 2019. He is currently completing his Bachelor of Laws at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
During his studies, Etienne has stood out through his participation in the Pierre-Basile-Mignault Moot Court Competition and his work as a research assistant for several professors, in particular in taxation, property law and international family law.
The research he participated in and the passion he developed for tax policy issues led him to give a lecture at the graduate level in law on the Quebec refundable tax credit system. This interest also led him to take part in an immersive internship with a boutique firm specializing in tax litigation during his studies.
