Philip Nolan specializes in tax law. His practice includes tax litigation, tax planning and estate planning. He provides advice to a diverse clientele ranging from publicly traded corporations to owner-managers. He also assists clients in matters of voluntary disclosure.

Over the years, Mr. Nolan has successfully represented clients in litigation matters before various tribunals including the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Quebec Court and the Quebec Court of Appeal. He has also appeared before the European Commission in a competition matter.

Mr. Nolan also acts as a trustee for certain family trusts and corporate trusts.

He is listed in the 2013 edition of Best Lawyers in Canada as a leading practitioner in the field of Tax Law.
