William graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Université Laval, then earned a Graduate Diploma in Common Law and Transnational Law followed by a Master of Laws from Université de Sherbrooke. While completing his bachelor’s degree, he had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht in Germany.

During his studies, William worked for a property and casualty insurance firm, where he put his legal knowledge to good use. He also served as a research assistant in the areas of insurance law, artificial intelligence and civil evidence law at Université Laval.

Additionally, he was actively involved at his law school, volunteering with the legal information office, serving as Vice-Chair of Events on the labour law committee, and contributing as a member of the FEDQ symposium organizing committee.
